Luke 15:3-7 |
|
You never know what
life will bring, as we began to realize when our oldest daughter
went through some very difficult times that worried us as parents.
As parents we often times have to let go and put our children
totally in God’s hands. It would be nice if we would all learn to
give things to God at the beginning instead of trying desperately to
fix it ourselves. When my husband and I finally decided to stop
talking. I told our daughter that it was her choice to go over the
cliff, that we did not agree, but we would still love her and still
be praying. At the time she was mad. After all our talking we had
finally let God work and asked Him to reveal the truth to her. It
was not until I was preparing to give a talk about three of my
paintings that I realized God had given me the vision for this
painting during all this turmoil with our daughter. She even came
in while I was painting and said “You know Mom, those are the
perfect colors for the sky, because when you are where God has to
come get you it usually is dark and stormy.” Little did either of
us know at the time that she was about to be our lamb on the branch
if God did not intervene. We all at times in life go over the
cliff, but God is faithful to leave the 99 and come rescue us. I
praise god that He rescued our precious lamb before she went over
the cliff.
